Common questions
Why does Halo need access to my photos?
Halo scores your photos to find the good ones, and that analysis runs on your device. Without access to the library there is nothing for it to look at.
Can I give access to only some photos?
Yes. If you choose a selection, Halo curates that whole selection with no date limit. If you grant full access instead, it looks at the last 30 days. You can change the selection or withdraw access at any time in iOS Settings.
Why do I see "No standout shots"?
Nothing in the analysed set cleared the quality bar. All Photos still shows everything Halo analysed, so you can look through it yourself and pick manually.
Where do my photos go?
Nowhere, unless you export a reel and share it yourself. Halo does not upload your photos and we run no photo server. If a photo's original lives only in iCloud, iOS downloads it from your own iCloud so Halo can analyse it — that transfer is between you and Apple.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. That removes Halo's data from your device. If you have a device backup, a copy may remain there until the backup is overwritten.
How do I send the beta report?
Open the beta report screen. Either tap Copy report and paste the text into TestFlight feedback or an email to us, or send a screenshot of the screen through TestFlight feedback. Nothing is sent unless you do it yourself.
